Bob Fleckenstein
President
Robert Fleckenstein founded Summit in 1989 as a general contracting firm specializing in commercial and multi-family construction. Under Bob's leadership, Summit has expanded its geographic project coverage nationwide and has increased its annual volume significantly each year. As president, Bob monitors the project construction progress and works closely with the firm's executive council to ensure that Summit's organizational objectives are achieved, as well as client expectations. Bob, who is a licensed Florida contractor, received a bachelor's degree in building construction from the University of Florida. He is active in various local philanthropic causes and is a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Building Construction at both the University of Florida and the University of North Florida. During his role as President of Summit Contractors, Bob has been appointed by the Governor of Florida to serve on both the Contractor's Licensing Board for the Department of Business Regulation and a special panel reviewing causes of building collapses in the state. He is a past board member of both the Associated General Contractors and Associated Building Contractors. Bob is an active member in the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce (Cornerstone) and NAIOP. He also supports the local chapter of Dreams Come True in Jacksonville.
