Erika Smith
Controller
Erika has over 15 years of construction accounting background and experience working for both general contractors and subcontractors in the State of Florida and currently serves as Summit’s Controller. She is responsible for the day to day operations of the accounting department and the overall financial reporting for the organization.
Born in Georgia and raised in Jacksonville, Erica graduated from Terry Parker High School. In 1994, Erika graduated Summa Cum Laude from DeVry Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 2007, she graduated from Keller Graduate School of Management receiving a Master’s degree with distinction in Accounting and Finance. Erika earned her Certified Public Accountant license and certification in 2009.
Erika volunteers in her spare time as a fastpitch softball coach traveling all over the State teaching young girls the fundamentals of the sport. She enjoys all sports, boating, going to the beach and the great outdoors in general.
